  • 1 GB disk space (for AI model)
  • Excel or WPS Office

  • 4 GB RAM minimum
  • 1 GB disk space (for AI model)

Windows Installation

1

Download the installer

Download CellSentry-X.X.X-Setup.exe from the latest release page.

2

Run the installer

Double-click the downloaded .exe file to start installation. Follow the setup wizard — the defaults work great for most users.

3

First launch

CellSentry will download the AI model (~1 GB) on first launch. This only happens once. After that, everything runs offline.

Windows SmartScreen Warning

This is normal. Windows SmartScreen may show a warning because CellSentry is new indie software that hasn't yet established a reputation with Microsoft's SmartScreen filter. The software is safe — it's open source and you can inspect every line of code.

1

Click "More info"

When the SmartScreen dialog appears, click the "More info" link at the top of the dialog.

2

Click "Run anyway"

After clicking "More info", a "Run anyway" button will appear. Click it to proceed with the installation.

3

Why does this happen?

Microsoft requires expensive code signing certificates ($200-400/year) and a track record of downloads before removing SmartScreen warnings. As an indie project, CellSentry hasn't purchased this certificate yet. The warning does not mean the software is unsafe.

macOS Installation

macOS support is currently in development.

CellSentry works great on macOS for development, but packaged distribution is coming soon. Join our GitHub releases page to be notified when it's available.

Troubleshooting

Model download is slow

The AI model (~1 GB) is hosted on GitHub Releases. If downloads are slow, try using a VPN or downloading during off-peak hours. The download supports resuming — if it gets interrupted, it will pick up where it left off.

CellSentry doesn't detect my Excel file

Make sure you've saved the file (Ctrl+S). CellSentry watches for file changes on disk. Unsaved changes in memory won't be detected until you save.

High memory usage

The AI model requires approximately 1-2 GB of RAM when loaded. If your system has limited memory, use the Free tier (rule engine only) which uses minimal resources.
